To wonder why Exh still feels the need to hide his Gf?

Exh and I divorced last year after I caught him with OW, now Gf. Today, picking up DC along with some unfortunately bulky new toys. I noticed him struggling to carry everything miles up the street despite there being a space right outside my house.

He's done this before when Gf is in the car (no idea why- we've met several times after the blow up to clear the air before she met DC)

Was feeling mischievous and have family staying so DB went to get some stuff out of his boot. It became apparent they weren't going to leave (they were parked at end of a cul de sac) until he went in... he was grinning away taking ages tinkering with the car and then as soon as he came in they went past.

We all get on nowdays- Ex had come in to get DC and was chatting away with DB just before. I admit we were all being pretty childish but I am baffled... it's not an affair anymore, what's with the secrecy?!

Residual shame/sheepishness?

My ex did this for years! Even hid her from the kids for the first couple of years (they knew all about her he just wouldn’t let them see her). And he hadn’t even met her until we had been divorced for 5 years!!

People are odd Grin

If you get on well enough for him to come into your house, surely "Oh why do you park so far away when X is in the car?" isn't a difficult question to ask?

No-one here will have the answer.

pink But what is he saying to her?! She must be all "Ooh look babe a space right outside!"

I’d be mildly amused and let them crack on

Santaisonthesherry · 28/12/2018 13:19

Maybe without her slap on she is hideous and they left the house in a hurry??

Onlyjoinedforthisthread · 28/12/2018 13:27

Maybe because he's seem posters on here who complain when ex's girlfriend is in the car or street etc

PumpkinKitty82 · 28/12/2018 13:31

Unless it’s his GF asking him not to park outside as she’s a little ashamed/ embarrassed still, especially if you have family or guests over as she was the “OW”
