He has a moustache - right?! Googled but can't find an answer. I'm the only one in the house who can see a moustache!

What Hmm

Tirednessandmoretiredness · 28/12/2018 12:39

Black with shoulder length blonde hair? I see A shadow under HER nose. But no tache. Sorry....

emandems30 · 28/12/2018 12:39

No... they are her cheeks, not a tash!

mikado1 · 28/12/2018 12:40

Really? I was sure. I was imagining tanned Jessie from Home and Away! Feck it anyway.

This was a big argument in our house on Xmas day. I thought it was a moustache, but BIL says it's "nose shadow"

mikado1 · 28/12/2018 12:44

Hmm.... I'm now humming Jessie paints a picture, and refusing to as admit it by staying upstairs!

BlaaBlaaBlaa · 28/12/2018 12:48

My 4 year old is convinced it's a man because of the moustache!! I think it's just a shadow under her nose

Ljlsmum · 28/12/2018 12:52

My issue is with Ashley- name is spelled wrong for a girl but could pass for either in this day and age.

Celebelly · 28/12/2018 12:53

Honestly could go either way!

You aren't the only person to ask this: imgur.com/gallery/CjdrklA

Looks like a bloke to me!

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 28/12/2018 12:57

Maybe Jess is non-binary!

mikado1 · 28/12/2018 12:59

It's just such a shadow.. ok I have taken heart and refuse to admit defeat as yet! Ashley, how's it spelt for a girl? I did note the unisex name but felt she was definitely a girl nonetheless.

The picture posted here looks like a guy to me.

WRT Ashley, I’ve seen that spelling used for both genders, only known one female Ashlea (compared to several female Ashleys) and she used to get people mispronouncing it all the time (may still do, no longer in contact.

Racheyg · 28/12/2018 13:07

Omg we played this on Xmas day and we struggled with this. We were all sure it was a man but looking back at the image now it's definitely a girl.

My mil struggled with one of the characters as his nostrils we so big she thought he had facial hair

Halfahunnerstillastunner · 28/12/2018 13:11

The eyelashes and hairstyle would indicate female to me?
Although I can see what you're saying, I do think it's to make the shape of her cheeks.

ChesterGreySideboard · 28/12/2018 13:12

Has anyone asked Jess how they identify?

ChesterGreySideboard · 28/12/2018 13:14

I think we need this meme.

Whoopsies · 28/12/2018 13:15

Ha!! This made me laugh out loud. We took a family vote on Christmas day morning and went with man. As long as everyone is on the same page!! 😂

Whoopsies · 28/12/2018 13:15

I said they need to come with their own personal bio which lets you know what they identify as!!

DisposableNN · 28/12/2018 13:18

We had a row Christmas Day about this. We have decided Jess is a woman and written it on the card.
In the wrong light we thought Jay had a moustache which caused another row.

Jaxhog · 28/12/2018 13:20

Why does it matter?

ChesterGreySideboard · 28/12/2018 13:22

Because ‘is your character male or female’ is a good question to ask.

I hope the new one is better that the 80s one was. There were only about 4 women so if your card was a woman then it really narrowed down the field.

BlaaBlaaBlaa · 28/12/2018 13:23

Jax it matters when you're playing the game....🙄

mikado1 · 28/12/2018 13:26

Exactly, it matters because my ds had Jess and I'd knocked him down as a boy at the beginning. Big eye roll for that question. Laughing at the meme! The unisex name is the real problem as anyone can sport a moustache if they want innit, but when your sex is significant for the game, it matters! not even slightly overinvested

OP posts:
mikado1 · 28/12/2018 13:43

Yes Chester, the 80s one was completely imbalanced and if you were a girl with a hat you were Claire, done deal in two questions! It's better now. I'm also having skin colour issues as my ds is asking about 'brown faces' which are sometimes black and sometimes not, so I'm wondering the correct terms to give him here.
