Mushroom gravy doesnt sound very pleasent any way, was it a vegetarian xmas dinner?

x2boys · 25/12/2018 21:18

Oops you said TurkeyXmas Blush yes very wrong!

purplecorkheart · 25/12/2018 21:19

Not ideal but mushroom gravy is better than a dry no gravy dinner.

covetingthepreciousthings · 25/12/2018 21:20

Is mushroom gravy even a thing? Yanbu.

You clearly never had a good mushroom gravy!
Turkey on the other hand is pretty disgusting.

Yeaididthat · 25/12/2018 23:06

HomeMadeMadness · 25/12/2018 23:29

I actually love mushroom gravy but I have to nope to it with a Turkey dinner.

GunpowderGelatine · 25/12/2018 23:37

Spare a thought for those of us who had to suffer our Brussel sprouts marinated in Worcester sauce Xmas Envy (not envy)

BanginChoons · 25/12/2018 23:40

Onion gravy for me, no turkey or mushrooms, thanks.

IhateBoswell · 25/12/2018 23:49

Eww I can imagine the smell of it 🤢

ZenNudist · 25/12/2018 23:53

I love mushroom sauce. It was the highlight of my meal.

MrsCatE · 25/12/2018 23:53

Unless black truffles involved tell instigator to Fuck. Off.

Saracen · 26/12/2018 00:15

Sounds yummy. I'll have to try that with chicken sometime!!

Obviously it isn't traditional and isn't what people would expect. I don't think I would spring it on anyone, especially extended family who might feel they had to choke it down just to be polite.

Nothininmenoggin · 26/12/2018 00:59

Bonkers on every level. These two just don't go together at all.

AviatorShades · 26/12/2018 01:03

Dunno - chicken and mushroom = classic
Turkey and mushroom - why not?Confused

sollyfromsurrey · 26/12/2018 10:12

Chicken and mushroom is a long time classic combo. So why not Turkey and mushroom. All these people commenting like it would give them a coronary need to live a little.

MacarenaFerreiro · 26/12/2018 10:17

it's better than the slices of thick Bisto beef gravy served with stone cold, dried out turkey which my inlaws dish up.

maras2 · 26/12/2018 10:23

I keep imagining that snotty stuff Campbells Condensed Mushroom Soup tipped over roast potatoes and brussels Envy (not envy) BOAK

Weedsnseeds1 · 26/12/2018 11:53

Sounds quite a nice combination to me. Might actually add some flavour to the turkey!

AviatorShades · 26/12/2018 12:19

Try putting 'turkey+mushrooms' into google search. Might educate your mind if not your palateGrin

Yep, waspish comment,I agree but....c'mon
