Last December was full of hospital visits as DM ( now deceased) was receiving a lot of care from the Onoclogy Ward at our local hospital. WIBU to take the masses of chocs and biccies we have amassed over this month to them tomorrow with DS3?

I think it would be a lovely gesture - bless you for being selfless at this sad time for you + your family.Flowers

paintinmyhairAgain · 24/12/2018 19:48

yes, it would be a lovely thing to do.

GrandmaSteglitszch · 24/12/2018 19:51

Yes, they'll be very happy to see you and to have the gifts.

Hmmmbiscuits · 24/12/2018 19:54

No not at all. That's a lovely thoughtful idea.

WhatWouldLeslieKnopeDo · 24/12/2018 19:54

YANBU. I'm sure they'll really appreciate it Xmas Smile

MadisonMontgomery · 24/12/2018 19:56

They will love you for it!

santababyconvertible · 24/12/2018 20:00

I'm sure they would much prefer a fruit basket or similar but this is all I have in as I was toiling away at work all day (bloody NHS)

Yes do it! It will mean so much to them.
I just donated a bag full of unwanted (unopened / unused) presents to the teenage cancer ward at my local hospital.

santababyconvertible · 24/12/2018 21:14

Good! DS and I will go up there tomorrow before he leaves to go to his dads then

Is a Christmas card over kill?! Not sure what to say when I do the buzzer , or should I just wave through the doors and hope someone comes and takes my bag of stuff from me

No, a Christmas card would be nice so they can see you're thinking of them.

Hope you still have a good Christmas yourself

BlueJava · 24/12/2018 22:05

That's lovely - card and chocs/biscuits/fruit will be gratefully received I'm sure.

DannyWallace · 24/12/2018 22:11

Just buzz at the door and say you're dropping something off for staff.
Maybe a wee card to just say who you are and why you appreciate them.
Also, it's a really lovely thing to do. The staff will probably be very busy, but will very much appreciate the gift ❤️

clarazabel · 24/12/2018 22:16

It's a lovely gesture and as someone who works in a hospital I know it will touch the staff to know they are being thought of and appreciated - do it!

Sparklesocks · 24/12/2018 22:17

Very nice

Wolfiefan · 24/12/2018 22:21

I’m so sorry for your loss. What a lovely thought. I’m sure the staff would appreciate a little Christmas cheer. Wishing you and yours a lovely Christmas and a happy and healthy 2019.

Hayles88 · 24/12/2018 22:26

Card and fruit basket.

santababyconvertible · 25/12/2018 09:44

Just got back from the hospital, they seemed pretty grateful, still the same faces on the ward!
