To hope we can still host Xmas when DS has the runs

DS has diarrhoea but is otherwise fine in himself - possibly too much rich food, but could also be bug. Meant to be hosting elderly parents (in 80s) for Xmas day tomorrow and have driven 200 miles and hired cottage in order to do so. Argh! WWYD? Might it still be ok or am I dreaming, and going to have to cancel?

I'd risk it if he seems ok otherwise.

Get some over the counter imodium, and don't leave the 80year olds hanging. A bit of the squirts needn't mean the end of Christmas.

Oh no! DH is sick now too - it is a bug, not too much chocolate. Going to have to postpone. What a shame!

Do the grand parents know? I'd make them aware and see if they want to go ahead and quarantine DS instead.

GP know and have decided to postpone - DF in particular is frail these days. A real shame.

How long are your parents in the cottage for? Could you do your Christmas later in the week?

We are here until Sat (near parents, not vice versa) so will try and do later in week. But feel bad to do this to them so close to the day. Better than making elderly folks sick though, I guess.

Ah shame. Have a nice meal between you and get strict in the hand washing to avoid getting it yourselves
