Aibu to be livid!??
Me and my DH got a takeaway ordered on just eat tonight, had a phone call from the restaurant, man was very rude on the phone and food was 30 mins late so I left a 2 star review for restaurant and a 1 star review for delivery...just received a phone call at 11:30pm waking me up...same rude man asking why I left the review! We're all now wide awake.....I'm so cross

Why did he call you before it came?

Yanbu to be pissed off about him being rude. How long did delivery take altogether? 30 minutes late wouldn't bother me massively, especially are they're probably really busy in the run up to Christmas, lots of families gathering and everyone wanting takeaway. I'm guessing.

Was the food bad, because you’re left a 2 star review for it but you’ve only said about the delivery and rude staff on here, nothing about the food? They obviously called you fo say what was going on, rather than leaving you wondering where your food was and they were probably rushed off their feet. If the food was bad, have you given them a chance to put lt right? Sounds like you got yourself in a tizzy and left a retaliation review, which they don’t think is fair, so he’s asking you why you left it. It’s better for all of us if people leave helpful reviews rather than passive aggressive and/or vindictive ones so YABU to be livid.

I think you should contact just eat and let them know. I wouldn't think they should be allowed to use your phone number to contact you for this reason. And I know just eat is the middleman, but they're still benefiting from using this take away on their website.

Complain to just eat. We've had some terrible (as well as great) experiences and they've always been really helpful.

My issue was that he called me so late and was quite aggressive
Food was pretty awful to be honest

JustEat! We had a similar thing this week and JustEat refunded it and dealt with it.

GDPR - if you haven't given permission for your phone number to be used to discuss your review they can't use it in this way.
Both the takeaway and just eat are at fault. I would contact Just Eat to raise a GDPR concern.

This happened to me before! I left a bad review because the food was awful and they forgot my drink... the delivery man said he would be back with the drink but he never r appeared. So I left an honest review. I then had a call from the owner of the pizza shop, he was furious and told me I have to phone just eat to get the review removed... I left my truthful review and I wish I could edit it to add that the owner of the shop is a bully! I think it's horrible that they have access to your phone number and misuse it to harass customers about reviews.
