he came home today and told me the police had to be called as a yr 8 was looking for a year 10 with a knife. ended with the pe teacher rugby tackleing the boy and police arresting him(ds told ma so as a 15 boy saw it iynwim)
wtf is going on. in the past few months. 2 kids have been assaulted outside school. 2 off ds year have been attacked by a large group of kids and one had his jaw broken and the other was knocked out. the other week the jaw boys nose was broken. this is on to pop of the tales of how so and so was chased by loads of kids and had to go hom type tales.
thank god ds is in yr 10 and only has one more year to go.
and no this isn't an inner city school. it is in a leafy part of town. tbh the school is now failing but no wonder.

that's scary, I'm already dreading ds' transfer to secondary and he is in Reception. Keep telling dh that we will either have to move or start saving like mad so we can send them private.

Have to say this is the main worry in my circle of friends, we don't mind primary so much but secondary seems to have all gone wrong.
My friend is a secondary science teacher and you should hear some of the stories she tells....

That's horrid. Schools shouldn't have to deal with that kind of behaviour and neither should the majority of well-behaved pupils

My neighbour is a primary headteacher and some of the things she tells me are bloody disgraceful.

what a horrible thing to happen.I dont understand where all the violence from some young people is coming from.Unfortunatly it seems to be happening everywhere now.I think i wil be a good idea when schools start searching for knives, but at the same time horrified that it has to come to that.

from what ds has told me the yr7 and 8's are sooo brave now. they will think nothing of having a go at a year 10/11 and then they tell their older brother so and so had a go at me. the the older brother goes after the year 10/11.
