To wonder where all the Goldbears are?

For at least the last couple of months I have noticed a distinct lack of Haribo Goldbears in the supermarkets. B&M has some halal ones, but the pack is smaller and the taste is slightly different.

AIBU to demand to know why they are no longer in stock anywhere? (Disclaimer, I haven't actually asked in any shops, just quietly and sadly stared at the empty space between the tangfastics and the star mix.)

Bought some in our sainsburys yesterday!

SayNoToCarrots · 23/12/2018 16:59

What???? Do you think they might be hiding them from me? Or that maybe there is just a shortage in the north west?

Our local shop has them! Premier stores. And the co-op. They’re DH’s favourite.

I haven't noticed a lack of Goldbears but there seems to be lack of Galaxy chocolate - especially the caramel ones! Own up - who ate all the chocolate!?

SayNoToCarrots · 23/12/2018 17:06

OMG I've literally looked everywhere. Well, I've looked in Asda, Tesco, Sainsbury's and Lidl.

I hadent noticed pound shops maybe?

PathOfLeastResitance · 23/12/2018 17:52

Same here ‘down south’. They are my husbands absolute favourite and it’s become a minor obsession to find some.

HappyGirl86 · 23/12/2018 19:25

I'm in the north west too and I can rarely find them! They are my favourites. I'm glad someone else has noticed this!

Suziepoozie · 23/12/2018 19:43

Poundland always has loads, and also other hard to find haribo. It’s a haribo goldmine that place

Amibeingnaive · 23/12/2018 23:32

I ate a whole bag of these this week.

So the answer is, perhaps, in my stomach.

Or, more helpfully, Poundland, which is where I sourced them.

42andcounting · 23/12/2018 23:52

I'm in the North West. Londis. You're welcome Grin

PathOfLeastResitance · 23/12/2018 23:59

My Poundland doesn’t have any.

Chocolateismynemesis · 24/12/2018 00:01

I haven’t seen them up here in NE Scotland for ages either which is very sad as they are a firm favourite for me. Not THE favourite however - that is reserved for Sour Goldbears which I consummed regularly on an almost daily basis when we lived in the US. I have never seen them here and the massive supply I always bring back from the states has long gone

MissSingerbrains · 24/12/2018 00:03

Aldi have them. I’m in Scotland.

SayNoToCarrots · 27/12/2018 16:44

I'm in poundland now stocking up, thank you!
