To ask when pregnancy starts going quickly??

I'm 9+3.. I found out at 4 weeks. It feels like months have passed. Time is moving so slowly. Pregnancy is going to feel like 5 years if it keeps up like this. Is this normal??? Does it magically speed up after the first trimester???

When you have a child alteady who keeps you too busy to think about it.

Sorry.

Grimbles · 23/12/2018 09:46

Tri2 - when you start feeling good, goes by like a flash. I'm 34 weeks now and it's really starting to drag again.

Thewifipasswordis · 23/12/2018 09:48

When they're 18 and have left home.

Peachesandcream15 · 23/12/2018 09:50

No. In a nutshell. Sorry.

tinkaroo · 23/12/2018 09:52

39 W 2 days here. It feels like a drag until you look back and realise how much wine and Brie you haven't eaten this year...

BendingSpoons · 23/12/2018 09:56

It goes a bit quicker if you are lucky enough to have a period of feeling normalish. But as PP said, it goes much quicker second time round! My friend keeps asking if we have chosen a name. By the time DH and I are free to have a conversation like that I am generally too tired!

Silversun83 · 23/12/2018 10:02

Agree with PP.. first pregnancy dragged.. second pregnancy when I actually wanted to try and savour every moment (in between the feeling utterly grim and horrendous SPD stages) because I knew it would be the last one... I barely had chance to think about it.

And ditto about the names! The first we had picked out before I'd even left the first trimester.. our second didn't get named until he was two days' old!

Nightmanagerfan · 23/12/2018 10:05

Mine went quicker once I’d stopped throwing up (about 22 weeks). I had a small period of feeling amazing and now feel dreadful again at 27 weeks. However I think this but will go much quicker due to being busy finishing work and getting everything ready for the baby!

SumAndSubstance · 23/12/2018 10:06

For me, never! I'm rubbish at being pregnant though and have never experienced this magical second trimester where you feel okay. Hopefully you'll be luckier than me, OP. Wink

XmasHolly · 23/12/2018 10:06

When you realise that DD is 22 years old and drives you around to meet your friends. Grin

CrystalBlaze · 23/12/2018 10:11

I found after the first trimester it's flown by. Now 22 weeks and the time is just running away. I've been lucky and not suffered with sickness, though I was knackered in the early weeks.

Ooplesandbanoonoos · 23/12/2018 10:13

I think after 20 week mark until the last few weeks.

harrypotterfan1604 · 23/12/2018 10:17

For me pregnancy flew from 12-30 weeks. 30 weeks hit and feel like I’ve been pregnant forever! I’m 38 weeks now and honestly this last month has been the longest month of my entire life 😂

Raffles1981 · 23/12/2018 10:51

Second trimester went by so fast for me. It was the best part! By 8 months, everything started to slow down for me. I could not wait! Just try to enjoy the good days and, if you can, sleep through the uncomfortable days 😄

ChodeofChodeHall · 23/12/2018 10:53

It only goes quickly when someone else is pregnant.

Annoyed me so much being 3 days to due date and people on Facebook exclaiming that it seemed I'd only been pregnant for five minutes... Yeah, maybe it's gone quickly for YOU, Karen! Angry
