To be this ridiculously jealous?

I started a new job 8 months ago and on my team was a woman.
We got on well and we had a bit of a flirt (she's lesbian )
I'm straight and had a boyfriend at the time.
Now she's got a girlfriend and I'm really jealous and I don't know why.
Is it ridiculous to be this jealous and not know why.
Part of me wants to tell her but then I think what's the point even.
I don't have a clue what my problem is.

No problem at all. You just fancied her a bit and now you can't (even hypothetically) have her.
It must be rather nice to discover you're so open to new feelings. Exciting - like a whole undiscovered facet of YOU exists!

I mean I probably would never have told her anyway (if she was single ) so nothing would have happened anyway ..
Yet here I am a ball of jealousy
