Nah, you'll be fine. Plan some treats for yourself.

Sparkletastic · 22/12/2018 07:46

Go for it. If you do it quickly you might get away with it. Otherwise go to a 24hr store in the middle of the night.

Mummadeeze · 22/12/2018 07:47

Okay, lying here putting it off! I better get up and go now too!

AllKinds · 22/12/2018 07:47

Go now! It'll be quietish until 9am.

YoThePussy · 22/12/2018 07:49

I am not the only one! Willing myself to get out of bed and get out there.

Lucyccfc · 22/12/2018 07:51

I did mine at 6am. No car parking issues and no queue at the till and no worrying about getting a loaf of bread because some knob has bought 25 loaves.

It was lovely and peaceful.

HelloGabriel · 22/12/2018 07:55

Yeah but go now. I was in M&S this time yesterday and it was bunged ffs. People probably still at work/school too.

bestbefore · 22/12/2018 08:04

I went at 6am, it was hell....they were still re filling the shelves so it was trolleys everywhere and loads of people...Angry home now and all done! Smile

Youvegotafriendinme · 22/12/2018 08:07

I went yesterday morning at 8am for a few normal essentials and it was rammed! My DDad went at 6am and had no issues at all. I spent longer parking and paying than getting what I needed!

Last year we went food shopping at 2pm on the day before Christmas Eve (through bad planning rather than choice) and it wasn’t actually that bad. It was busy but not massively different to when we’ve been before at so called quiet times over Christmas

Mulberry72 · 22/12/2018 08:09

I’m going out shortly for the turkey, I’ve got everything else.

Youlll be fine! Good luck!

WhiteDust · 22/12/2018 08:24

Have we still got 3 days left?
I was planning on going tomorrow... (our cupboards are bare) is that a bad idea?

schnubbins · 22/12/2018 08:26

Living in Germany.I went yesterday as I wanted to avoid the mayhem that will be today. The shops will be shut tomorrow because it is Sunday (normal procedure) They open Monday Christmas Eve till midday and then not open again until Thursday. I am so glad that I don't have to go today.

CarolDanvers · 22/12/2018 08:28

Now will be the best time. I went last night. 9.00 pm at Tesco was practically empty and Asda was open 24 hours.

Marmite27 · 22/12/2018 08:29

I went at 8pm last night. Mad Friday is about right Hmm

We have scan and go, which is helpful, making it not too bad at the tills.

There were no iced minced pies, and I couldn’t find partbaked rolls.

OrbitalSands · 22/12/2018 12:06

I survived!!! Hope everyone else did too!

I went after work last night, it was so busy and wasn’t helped by the shop having all the racks out re stocking. Glad I didn’t need to get that much.
