Unsafe carseat straps

I've now seen 2 "celebrities" that have their children in a carseat and the over the shoulder straps are slack and around their arms and not over the shoulders.
One was on a tv programme the other on an Instagram story. Aibu to be angry at this?? People might look up to these people and think it's fine to strap children in like this.

I doubt they did it on purpose... they probably just didn’t realize. Sometimes when I go to take one of my children out of their car seat I notice the strap has slipped - it happens!

If you’re that annoyed by it you could always send them a message/comment on the post and maybe they’ll draw attention to it so more parents will be aware of the dangers. Or they might just delete you Grin

If they are strapped in correctly the strap shouldn't just slip.

Yes I’m aware of that wife but on the one or two occasions it happened I thought I had pulled the straps tight enough but I clearly hadn’t. Like I said - it happens. I’ve since got rid of the car seat in question, it was really stiff and hard to pull tight around the baby (silvercross infant seat if you’re wondering - I obviously wouldn’t recommend it!) and now I don’t have that issue, but I wouldn’t go crazy over it happening to someone else as not all car seats are created equal.
