Scented toilet roll!

AIBU to think of you buy loo roll it should be very clear on the packaging that it is scented?

Bought some emergency backup loo roll from the local shop. Turns out it is scented. A) I do not want a flowery fanjo and B) we have guests coming tomorrow and quite frankly I am embarrassed!

Yuck. Sounds like a recipe for thrush/UTIs! YANBU. It's not coloured as well, is it?! My nana always had coloured loo roll. As I child I thought it was the height of sophistication Xmas Hmm but now it seems absurd.

You are definitely not being U. It should come with a health warning. I honestly can't see the point of scenting something that cleans up poo then gets flushed!! And it gives me thrush/cystitis - all the fun things. Same goes for scented panty liners. Just no

We have the Shea butter one, it's really nice, not sure I'd fancy floral though.

It's been years since I've seen scented toilet paper. I don't know if they even sell it here anymore. Did you open the package? Maybe the shop would let you exchange it.

The cheapo loo roll from our local shop is scented too. Well, I say the loo roll, I think it's actually the cardboard tube.

I put a packet of coconut scented toilet roll before. It was ok. I haven’t bought it again.

I can’t exchange it - I didn’t realise until I actually had to use it!

It had a sort of blue pattern on it but I foolishly assumed it was some kind of seasonal snowflake design. What’s really annnoyed me is DH picked up the REALLY cheap scratchy horrible stuff and I put it back and said we should get the second cheapest as it looked softer... now I wish we’d gone for the super cheap stuff.

On the one hand I am far too much of a —cheapskate— environmentalist to throw it away. On the other hand I really don’t want thrush.

Work swapped to scented toilet roll. I got my first ever raging UTI and then kidney infection. I whined to my manager lots and asked if he would use mint shower gel on his bits and we now have not scented again
