AIBU to think that a bank should at least be able to reply correctly?!!

SO, after the 8weeks of awaiting a letter for claiming bank charges, I get a letter in "error". I've been on the phone to them every day stating we want a reply, and been told that as it is a new complaint (no, it's still the bank chages), it may take up to another eight weeks!!

Why does these things always happen to me

Write to the CEO and copy it to the consumer section of your favourite newspaper.

Ummm, good idea. Where do I find the contact details for CEO? And what about the ombudsman?

go to www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk and follow the steps there.

It does work

They are just fobbing you off

Before the ombudsman you have to go through the bank's official complaints procedure. Which bank is it?

jofeb04 · 26/06/2007 11:48

Barclays, the problem is the complaints department !!!!!

OK well the Chief Executive is John Varley and the Chairman is Marcus Agius. The address to write to is 1 Churchill Place, London E14 5HP. Good luck!
