Have a cyst/boil thing on my labia (nice) it's very very painful. Have magnesium sulphate, is it OK to use on that bit?! When does it become a GP issue?

Is adding a photo usual practice? Confused

Umm how about Metanium?

HoneyDoo · 19/12/2018 12:40

Perhaps GP issue if it changes in appearance dramatically, becomes hot to the touch, you become unwell yourself or there is discharge that concerns you. Hope that helps.

This cream cheese and bagel wasn't that nice anyway....

abbsisspartacus · 19/12/2018 12:41

You need to be in sporners corner for this and as far as I'm aware it's fine to use mag sulphate paste there but put a hot flannel on it first might be more practical

Borderscotch · 19/12/2018 12:41

Oh yes sporners insist on a photo! Grin

Borderscotch · 19/12/2018 12:42

Bartholin Cyst?

Yep mag sulphate and flannel as hot as you can bear it. |May need a trip to the docs though. ouchy.

slashlover · 19/12/2018 12:56

Could it be a Bartholin's cyst? I had one of those and ended up going to the GP for antibiotics because I couldn't sit down without being in agony, couldn't sleep etc. The relief when it finally burst was amazing.

Theunreasonableone · 19/12/2018 13:02

I get these quite regularly and yes, very painful! I find washing a couple of times a day in antibacterial soap, very hot flannel and magnesium sulphate paste all help massively. Mine usually burst within a couple of days but go to the GP if you feel unwell or the pain is unbearable

DayManChampionOfTheSun · 19/12/2018 13:08

Can you sterilise a pin and get it? Or get partner too?

If it is really painful, the pressure is probably high, try stretching the area around it out then poking it with a fingernail
