No congratulations from MIL on pregnancy

So first pregnancy, no congratulations from MIL. Engagement shortly after, no congratulations. Second pregnancy, no congratulations from MIL. She text me this morning after my OH told her yesterday and I thought yay she's texting to congratulate me! Wrong. She hasn't so much as acknowledged it, all she said was r u coming for dinner on Boxing Day. AIBU to think she hates me..?

She's just not got any social niceties, that's all.

When we told my exmil we were going to have a baby. She just looked at my ex without saying a word. Then I said 'so you'll be a grandma'. Her response 'well yes, clearly' - nothing more mentioned until 20 week scan. Some people are just weird!!

What's she like in other social occasions?
My mothers is exactly like this - she just has no idea what is socially expected (down to not bothering to say hello and goodbye when people visit, sort of level).
