To give my mother this present?

I'm giving my dm a book of poetry she wanted, chocolate and a candle. I was sewing and started to embroider this lavender bag:
It's a tree with leaves and pink flower petals . I thought I would make 3 others representing the 4 seasons. My aibu is to wonder if it's too messy/amateur. And also to ask advice on tips for hand embroderie/sewing.

It's lovely! Doesn't look at all amateurish. Personally I'd be thrilled to have 4 hand-sewn lavender bags.

I have no tips but I think it's lovely.

I can't imagine any decent parent feeling anything but pride and happiness that their DC has made them something.
