To think I’ve been ghosted on an app?

Very minor in the grand scheme of things but home with my parents over the weekend and got chatting to someone. Turns out he is also doing the same (home for weekend) and he asked where I normally live/whether I’d be down for a drink over Christmas. Parents both live in a welsh village, I’m in Birmingham, he’s in Manchester. I replied and said a drink would be great - no reply since yesterday evening. He’s been on the app since. Ffs

24 hours does not a ghosting make. Message again? If no reply, cut your losses.

It's not ghosting as such as nothing has happened

People just find someone else more interesting and move on, then often return after they get bored with what they hoped was better for them. I've done it too so it doesn't bother me when it happens,

Is also the possibility though that actually it's Mick from Haines who's 64 and just wanted to pass some time not actually meet someone since he isn't who he's playing online

You sound like hard work

You've never even met him and it hasn't even been 24 hours since you messaged!

LadyRenoir · 17/12/2018 19:39

Nowadays I think people take time to respond, I usually never responded the same day either. Maybe he does not want to look too keen, or maybe chatting to someone else. If no response within a few days, look further.
