To think this man is a nasty bully?

A family member has been having issues with the local school and parking on private property This morning one of them parked on my family members (private ) parking right up to the window and sat with his kids in the car blasting music.

I waited until the kids went into school and (politely ) told him he knew he couldn't park there and that the neighbour was also on nights and would not be happy if disturbed.
He absolutely lost his shit with me , screamed and shouted and told me to mind my own business and that he didn't care.
He was really rather nasty.
I've got his registration, police won't do anything and school don't care. Help!

Could they get a parking post thingie?

NutellaFitzgerald · 17/12/2018 13:23

Police might do something. Sometimes they go and have a word.

The police quite like knowing who and where the shit bags are.

You may never hear back from the police about what they did but it's not unusual for them to pay a 'friendly visit' and maybe check out his tax and insurance and anything else of interest.

Did they park on a driveway? Could you look into different types of bollards? (Awful word)

So he trespassed and was then aggressive and intimating, which is a form of abuse? Have you actually reported him because the police should take this further.

DonderandBlitzen · 17/12/2018 13:31

I left a note on someone's windscreen once as they parked across my drive for ages so I couldn't get out. He knocked on the door and had a go quite aggressively. As if I should be fine with an aggressive man parking me in and should just put up with it.

Drogosnextwife · 17/12/2018 13:32

I would stick some nails along the driveway so they get a puncture next time.

DangerousBeanz · 17/12/2018 14:00

I'd ring 101, report it as a verbal assault and trespassing, give his reg etc. Say that you were frightened and he was intimidating and threatening.
I bet the police will go round and have a word. They did when something singular happened to me once and the perp hasn't even looked at me funny since.

He is trying to bully you. There's not much you can do other than go out and tell him to move every time he parks there. He may scream and shout like a toddler and if he does feel free to shout back. It's stressful but otherwise he'll walk all over you. Shouting back will probably have more effect on a person like that than attempting to get the authorities to do anything useful

Block him in on Friday and go away for a nice long weekend.Grin
