Ordered a few bits off Amazon yesterday morning for next day delivery as I knew I'd be home to sign for them/receive. Items were duly dispatched by Amazon a few hours later - no issues there.
Got a message from Royal Mail saying my parcel was out for delivery this morning - fab. I live in a tiny house and can hear whenever there's a knock on the door. I then hear the letterbox go and there's a "Sorry, we've missed you" card. I open the door (must be about a minute since I heard the letterbox) - no sign of the postman or my parcel. So I now I have to go to the sorting office tomorrow to collect them.
I have other items apparently due by 8pm tonight (ha, I doubt it very much) which will probably come tomorrow morning - what's the betting they try and deliver that lot while I'm at the Sorting Office collecting the stuff they were supposed to deliver today?!
