Off sick in new job

Both kids are off with norovirus. Lots of vomitting in our house at the moment.

I've woken up this morning with terrible nausea and slight diarrhea.

I've only been in my new job 3 weeks. I know they say it's better to keep away with these sorts of bugs but how bad will it look?

Not as bad as coming in ill and spreading it around. No one wants your sick bug 2 weeks before Christmas.

If you have norovirus they really shouldn't want you there and you might not have a choice as my dd had this. Sorry to say she had uncontrollable sickness and diarrhoea and could not have left the house.
Call them and explain. If your manager is realistic he or she won't want the whole workplace out with it. Key word to say is highly contagious.
