This is the reason, I recreated it myself at home by taking my headphones halfway out of the socket.. :D

I listen to music in work with only one earbud in and I remember being really confused the first time I listen to bohemian rhapsody that way, it's is stereo with some parts coming from only one speaker, I should imagine that is the problem here.

no, the music scipped forward. it wasn't the stereo speaker issue.
