Everyone seems to rave about it,
Feel like I'm missing something?? Blush

I've got the winter spice one and use it as a spray around the kitchen and for my sinks to soak when we are away, but I get the impression there's many many more uses?

I'm watching this one too!

Notatallobvious · 11/12/2018 15:34

I dilute it and use to mop my floors...

SylviaAndSydney · 11/12/2018 15:35

I avoid it like the plague, it reeks.

HowlsMovingBungalow · 11/12/2018 15:36

Erm it is a disinfectant!

So dilute with hot water and wash hard floors with it, clean bins/litter trays/pet areas.

Not sure why people spray it about when it is flammable and a skin irritant- read the warning on the packaging.

Mrs Hinch has a lot to do with madness around a household cleaner. 1

Dontsweatthelittlestuff · 11/12/2018 15:38

I make household cleaner with it.
Use an old litre spray bottle and Mix a quarter of a small bottle with a quarter bottle of star drops and top up with water. Use it to clean everything from floors upwards including kitchen and bathroom.

TheQueef · 11/12/2018 15:38

Floors, bins and the drain.
Also wiped on the back of the radiator so it smells like I did the above.

Ali1cedowntherabbithole · 11/12/2018 15:38

I add a capful to the washing machine when I wash the dog beds and another capful to clean the machine after.

Sausagefingers9 · 11/12/2018 15:38

Like pp said, I use it to disinfect stuff.

lynnepot · 11/12/2018 15:39

Its a disinfectant in its basic form. I personally only use it for wiping kitchen worktops and for mopping floors. Don't treat it like an air freshner, it is not an air freshner.

WildFlower2018 · 11/12/2018 15:40

It's a disinfectant so I use it when I want to disinfect things.

The bin, the floor (I have dogs), the sink or toilet etc.

HowlsMovingBungalow · 11/12/2018 15:41

It is really not a bright idea to mix household cleaners together as it creates harmful gases.

Santasushi · 11/12/2018 15:41

I use it for my bathroom floor. It’s just a disinfectant Confused

lostvoice · 11/12/2018 15:41

Sorry might not have been clear, when say spray around the kitchen I mean to wipe the sides draining boards etc
Wouldn't use as an air freshener

BeekyChitch · 11/12/2018 15:43

I put a couple capfuls in the washing machines with towels and bedding (I use the cotton fresh/linen scent), on the floors and on the window sills. Some smell disgusting but I would like to try the winter scents!

Jellyshoeshurtmyfeet · 11/12/2018 15:43

I put a little bit on a cotton wool ball and put in the Hoover bag and it smells lovely when you vacuum.

ChocolateStash · 11/12/2018 15:45

It's a strong disinfectant. I use it for washing floors. It is very condensed so you need to dilute it a lot.

Foamybanana93 · 11/12/2018 15:50

If anyone has pets be careful when using zoflora as I’ve seen a post from a vet saying it’s burnt a cats paws quite badly by someone using zoflora not the correct way Shock

DaysOfCurlySpencer · 11/12/2018 15:53

I also avoid it like the plague because it reeks. It is also an irritant so if you have allergies or skin problems, bin it quickly. Made me dizzy, head ache, itchy eyes and feel very sick, I bought it because people on here keep going on about it.

I have decided I would rather not have artificial 'perfumes' in my home, too toxic.

HowlsMovingBungalow · 11/12/2018 15:53

Yup it has to be diluted and pets to stay away until the area has dried.

You shouldn't use in electrial items either. It is FLAMMABLE undiluted.
Ok to use to in washing machine on empty cycle to disinfect.

Dontsweatthelittlestuff · 11/12/2018 15:54

Stardrops original doesn’t contain bleaching agents or anything else that reacts with disinfectant so it is quite safe to add zorflora. I am not sure of the other types of stardrops but I have been using the original for years without any problems.

SauvingnonBlanketyBlanc · 11/12/2018 15:54

I dilute in a spray bottle and use it on curtains, wipe windowsills and paintwork etc but the smell only lasts an hour or so.Some smell horrible but country garden is lovely

eddiemairswife · 11/12/2018 16:05

I don't think Waitrose stock it.

TheRealHousewifeofCheshire · 11/12/2018 16:07

It seems people just stockpile it. Confused

lynnepot · 11/12/2018 16:16

I still don't understand how people on mn hold zoflora in such high esteem but are generally so anti bleach. Zoflora probably contains more chemicals than bleach.

Poodles1980 · 11/12/2018 16:20

Nothing because it’s really toxic. You shouldn’t be spraying it on anything that comes into contact with food like your counter tops. It’s highly toxic, kills animals and plant life and studies show products like this can cause athsma and breathing problems.
