Went to visit DSis today and parking is quite difficult to come by in her street so she always says to family who are visiting to block her car in on the driveway. Her normal neighbour has an allocated space beside hers but her nutty neighbour on the other side doesn't have any driveway or parking assigned (weird, but their problem!).

Anyway, pulled up today to visit and as we were getting out the car this woman appears in a car indicating as if to drive through our car and into my DSis's driveway. CF put the window down and said "that's my house, you'll have to move". My DH was confused and said "oh no, I don't think so, we are visiting that house and it's my SIL that lives there". She then says "no, I live there" and points at the house next door. Again, we are both looking at each other like wtf? She then keeps insisting that she parks in front of my sister's driveway, and my sister appears at the door and is like "wtf no she never parks over my driveway, just ignore her". We go to walk round the car onto the pavement and she screeches round the car and over the pavement onto the grass, just about running over DH in the process.

DSis says she never parks there, so can't work out why she was making all these mad claims. I'm still like wtf hours later 🤔😒

Diagram included of course....blue square is our car, orange car is nutty neighbour, pink squares are other people's cars, grass is green and path is brown obviously, black lines are front doors to houses.

No diagram I'm afraid.

But the neighbor sounds batshit!

Jaxinthebox · 09/12/2018 20:13

does the neighbour have form for being batshit crazy?

SaveKevin · 09/12/2018 20:14

Star for your diagram.
She sounds crackers. Did you manage to get the car out ok?

marvellousnightforamooncup · 09/12/2018 20:16

You haven't labelled which car is which. Still, she sounds batshit!

Biancadelriosback · 09/12/2018 20:21

mooncup the blue car is OPs and orange is nutty neighbour

DaysOfCurlySpencer · 09/12/2018 20:22

@marvellousnightforamooncup

From the OP:

DSis says they never speak, usually totally ignore her. DSis is an early 20's social butterfly who works 2 jobs so is rarely home and they are a 30 something couple and sometimes have a child there. I am still totally confused trying to work out what she was rattling on about. She clearly never normally parks on the grass as it was perfectly manicured and no tyre marks.....so random 🤔

Our car is the blue. DSis car is the bottom pink one. Orange is the CF nutty neighbour car. Sorry for being unclear.

@Savekevin yes, as no-one in front of ours (the blue one) and DSis didn't need to leave until after us. Grin

She thought you were CFs so pretended to luve in your sister's house. When it turned out you knew your sister she had to make something up!

BabySharkDooDooDooDoo · 09/12/2018 20:25

Neighbour sounds crazy 🙈

Clutterbugsmum · 09/12/2018 20:40

Did she park on her own grass.

juls1888 · 09/12/2018 20:49

@kindergarten lol! That is the only explanation 😂
@clutter yes, just after bumping up the kerb and driving across the pavement towards pedestrians 🤔

JustABetterPlayer · 09/12/2018 20:51

😄😄 She’s insane.

Spam88 · 09/12/2018 20:58

I'm amazed that, this being Mumsnet, no one has told you yet that you're the CF for parking on a dropped curb 😂

OrdinarySnowflake · 09/12/2018 21:06

Why yes Spam88 - surely someone should point out you can't park over a dropped curb, blocking someone else in, even if they say you can.... Grin

I think she probably thought she was doing a public service, telling off someone for shit parking, only to find out you weren't pissing off DSis.

juls1888 · 09/12/2018 21:07

@spam I was waiting with my tin hat on 🙈
For additional context, my son is disabled and we have a blue badge. Not sure if that qualifies as a drip feed, sorry if so 😇

@ordinary that actually is the only thing that might explain it 😂

Blush I've been one of those twats that don't read the OP properly. I hate people like me. Sorry All! Grin
