To warn you all about this amazon 3rd party seller

Ordered an item on the 23rd of november (playmobil explorers £43.99) same day had a despatch confirmation but item still hasn't arrived. Now looking at the reviews of the seller it seems the majority do not receive their items. HM direct have given me a fake tracking number will not respond to emails, and because it's not directly sold by them it looks like amazon won't be able to issue my refund until after christmas. Please everyone stay clear of this seller who is still taking money from people on amazon.

So sorry, barcstewards

CuriousaboutSamphire · 09/12/2018 15:56

Is it me or is that confusing?

Confused
CuriousaboutSamphire · 09/12/2018 15:57

Ah! It was me!

HM Direct to be avoided

WatchingTheWheels85 · 09/12/2018 15:57

Thanks, I'm just so bloody angry, luckily I've now reserved the item in my local argos. But some other poor fucker could maybe not have the money to be able to do this.

Sorry if it was a rambling load of nonsense Grin I was just so angry.

I'm not surprised you are bloody angry. That's a lot of determined lying, deliberate theft.

What have Amazon said about it?

WatchingTheWheels85 · 09/12/2018 16:36

Amazon have said they have to follow procedure and can't issue a refund until they file a claim. This can take 21 days apparently to be resolved.

So many reviews say the same including a false tracking number. Stupid me for not checking the seller reviews first.

I was about to defend them and say.
Maybe it got lost in the post until I read it had happened to other buyers.
Once totally innocent
Twice Massive Coincidence
Three times or more. Very Dodgy.

You need to be more assertive with Customer Service. They can definitely refund faster than that

WhatsUpHun · 09/12/2018 16:57

you need to tell Amazon that you bought from them as you trusted them, and you will no longer use them as you cannot trust them anymore if they dont sort this out quicker

WhatsUpHun · 09/12/2018 16:58

but how are you warning us if you havent said the name?

WatchingTheWheels85 · 09/12/2018 16:59

I have been on the phone to customer service so many times today. I've tried asking them what it takes to remove a seller. I just don't want this happening to someone else. They are still the first option to buy from when you search this playmobil item!

The name is above HM direct. Sorry my original post is so all over the place.

I had a similar problem with a 3rd party amazon seller and when I contacted amazon on Twitter they gave me this link to fill in form, within two days I had a refund. Worth a try if you haven’t already? www.amazon.co.uk/gp/help/customer/display.html/ref=help_search_1-2?linkId=60498135&tag=mumsnetforum-21&ie=UTF8&nodeId=201889740&qid=1543847449&sr=1-2

WatchingTheWheels85 · 09/12/2018 17:03

Thank you for that Smile

I've had this happen twice over the last couple of years, it's not new unfortunately but I've got my money back from Amazon both times.

WatchingTheWheels85 · 09/12/2018 17:28

I will get my money back, just not until after christmas. I just wish the seller would be investigated.

Yes, it's annoying having to wait especially at this time of year. I hate the whole "third party seller" deal with Amazon now. If I want 3rd parties I would go to ebay. When I go to Amazon, I want to buy from them, not some random crook somewhere across the globe.

RedPandaFluff · 09/12/2018 17:38

I was almost burned by this too. Bought my nephew a toy from an Amazon 3rd party seller and had it delivered directly to my sister. She then sent me a video of my nephew playing with the toy, and I realised they'd sent the much cheaper, smaller version of the toy than the one I'd paid for - £25 difference between the two. I was furious - I complained, and they refunded the difference quite quickly, but I wonder how often this happens where nobody notices . . .

MulticolourMophead · 09/12/2018 17:44

I've heard about this sort of thing, and rarely use 3rd party sellers. If I do want to use one, I'll check reviews and also google outside of Amazon for any info.

WhatsUpHun · 09/12/2018 17:51

@WatchingTheWheels85 sorry I didn't spot it

WatchingTheWheels85 · 09/12/2018 17:54

Wish I had read reviews, I just wanted the toy and couldn't find it anywhere at the time. I just can't believe they are still able to sell. I luckily can afford to get the toy and wait fir the refund. But someone else may not.

You have to submit the az claim form nut can only do that once delivery date is passed. 21 days is the max amount of time. If the seller is no longer active or has been reported, claim will be granted immediately
