Can anyome help please? I'm useless with phones and no clue how they work! I have a family members phone and I need to use it for myself but it needs to be unlocked before I can use it so I can use my son. There are lots of messages on there but I want to keep them. Are the messages stored on the sim card or on the phone? I've no access to a computer at the moment so can't transfer them onto there. Just worried about getting it unlocked and losing them.

Sorry, I wasn't very clear. I meant unlock the network as the phone is registered to orange and I'm not on that network. I want to keep the messages but was worried getting it unlocked and swapping sim woukd mean I'll lose them

You’d have to take it to the now EE store and have them do it for you. It’s not something you can do at home but I think it does keep your texts as the texts are saved onto the phone as opposed to the sim card
