So for tmi
I'm passing gas every 20 seconds all day long.
I can feel it all around my ribs and I get pain in my shoulders every day.
Passing gas helps for a few seconds.
I feel so full of gas.
Doctors haven't helped.

Nope I don't think that's normal. How long has it been going on? Could be a gluten intolerance although I'm not an expert.

Doctors have said Ibs but aren't prepared go test me for an allergy's because it's on my notes I have anxiety

Thanks Kaitlyn.

OP - could you get the tests done with your anxiety? I'd push for them.

hattyhoo · 06/12/2018 17:39

What kind of tests shall I ask for?
Lactose intolerance?

Lactose, gluten, everything that can be dietary.

There is a diet called the FODMAP diet. It has been shown to be effective for people with IBS. MY friend is an NHS dietician and has trained in it. It is supposed to be done in conjunction with a dietician but there is a book you can buy and you could try following it yourself if you can't get a referral.

I think your GP has been really unhelpful to let you suffer like this for so long. I had terrible GI problems that really blighted my life for over
a decade. Too many GPs just don't seem to take these things seriously.
Keep pushing and pushign for a referral. Change GPs till you get one who helps you if you need to.

Sorry, above should link to Amazon page to a book by Dr Sue SHephard on the FODMAP diet.
