Posting here for traffic.

Our family traditions were.
Opening our stockings in our parents bed before getting up.
Taking it in turns to open our presents so we could all see what the recipient had got.
Buffet tea on Xmas night.
The dog always getting a mini plated up Xmas dinner 😁

Those aren't really that uncommon so wondering what things other people did particularly unusual traditions.

We had similar. Plus Xmas breakfast is always warm croissants with marmalade and OJ or Buck's Fizz.

My friend told me a tradition of his which I'm going to steal: First present is opened on Xmas eve and is always new PJs to wear to bed that night!

DH is Dutch so that comes with unusual traditions too, including Sintaclaus, which is actually tomorrow. We wrote a poem for each other that is kind of a roast (gentle mocking) and swap related piss-taking presents haha!
