to ask for manga recommendations?

Recommendations, please, for manga books for a fourteen year old girl of high reading ability who loves manga. I know nothing at all about it. She lives in the US so anything that was published here that may be completely new to her would be great. She likes strong female characters, so her father tells me. :)
Thanks in advance.

Fullmetal alchemist is my absolute favourite but the main characters are male. There are several very strong female characters though

Thanks, Inuka. Is that suitable in that, while she is a proficient reader, she is still only fourteen and her parents who are old friends of mine, will not thank me for sending something that is too sexy/violent?

I'd recommend Teppu, a manga about women's MMA with an interesting main character

InuYasha is good

Tsubasa reservoir chronicles is good- not a strong female per se but lovely story

Cardcaptors

Xxxholic (linked to tsubasa and cardcaptors too)

The storyline is pretty intense but no sex. Plenty of violence but I would say it’s ok for a 14 yr old. It has a pretty strong moral, the heroes are good people fighting against dictators as well as supernatural baddies.

Shinsekai Yori/ From the New World (thriller/mystery/fantasy)
Watamote (comedy)
Land of the lustrous/houseki no kuni.(fantasy)
Chihayafuru (drama)
Little witch academia (comedy)
Magi (fantasy adventure)
Your lie in april (romance)
Moribito (historical fantasy adventure)
Akatsuki no yona (fantasy adventure)
Planetes (sci-fi drama)
Boys over flowers/hana yori dango (quite old but a classic comedy romance)
