I really despise things that are clearly meant to be “girly” or “boyish” and Smiggle is about as bad as it gets, but both of my DSs have been dying for a Smiggle pencil case and I’m finally going to get it for them. Both kids are football-mad and Smiggle has several football pencil cases, I just need to make sure they have a roughly equal amount of plastic tat bells and whistles or one of them will feel hard fine by. (I don’t want to get two of the same as it would be too confusing.) I particularly like this one (click the link) and it is comparable to the other one I’ve chosen but I’m not sure if Year 4 kids might think it is “for girls.” I don’t think they would but what do I know. If my DS hears one comment at school about it being girly he will never use it again. So what do we think, MNers?
