To not answer door anymore to neighbours parcels!!

6 times this week I’ve had parcels taken in for neighbour, one of which was because her son was too slow to the door!! They don’t work full time and half the time don’t even come round for them resulting in my taking baby with me round to deliver their sometimes massive parcels!! Just got out of shower and OH seeing to kids to a massive banging on the door and a delivery man looking through our window, i would have answered but the way he knocked and looked through our window I thought forget it!! He banged another two times, looked up at our upstairs window them hovered off to another house, drove past our house and stared at me through my front room window!! Third one in 24hours, wouldn’t mind but the woman doesn’t even speak to me, only has time for my OH, can have a long conversation with him but barely mumbles a thanks to me for a parcel. Aibu?

No don't take them in I once took 2 parcels in on one day one was for the neighbour next door but one n the other was for neighbour accross the road. The woman accross the road came over for her parcel with her slip and gave her parcel. Late that night another person came for the woman's parcel next door but one with the slip and i gave them it. In the morning u had some girl at my door with no slip asking for her parcel which I gave to the person with the slip the night before. She told me it wasn't her bf n someone else, who just happened to know she had a parcel delivered to my address and happened to have the slip and picked it up. Never did find out whether or not she got her parcel. She said she didn't but he did have the slip 🤷‍♀️. I don't take parcels in for anyone anymore i used to all the time until that happened so I personally wouldnt they can rearrange delivery x

Put a small notice on the letterbox saying you don't accept mail for anyone else. Done.

Edit to say it’s the same neighbour not a few neighbours....

Yeh I used to do it all the time for my neighbours n end up with massive heavy boxes in my house for days at end and don't even get a thankyou when u give it to them. Also after taking so many parcels in I was waiting for a parcel myself I was in the shower ran to the door just nearly missed my delivery he was at next doors the same neighbour I took parcels in for n heard her saying no I'm not taking it i opened my door she was red faced and i still got my parcel decided then n there they can fuck off n get their own delivery sorted 😊

Yanbu. I’m fed up of this too. I’m at home with my baby in the day and the amount of times he is woken up by a delivery that’s not even bloody for us. I’ve taken about 10 parcels in the last week I think I’m going to have to put a sign up to say parcels for this address only

I hope you didn't take this one in, either don't open the door or put a note up, no parcels please.

I’d put a sign up on your door saying you won’t take in anybody else’s parcels and then refuse if anyone does knock.

0lgaDaPolga Same here!! Baby was woke the other day by one banging away at my door then when she got the parcel off me she muttered thanks under her breath walking off!! I thought u cheeky bitch I’ve had an overtired baby all day thanks to your bloody parcel!! No I didn’t accept it and won’t be going forward, had enough x

It sounds like your neighbour has put down your address as their substitute one, OP. Next time a delivery person knocks, check if that's the case and tell the CFs to remove it.

All of my neighbours work I'm a SAHM currently, the other day I had the post man with 9!!!!! Parcels laid out on. Top of my bins he had already SCANNED them (to say they were delivered) and posted the slips through 3 of my neighbours doors before even asking if i would take them!!! You should of seen his face when I said I'm not taking in anymore parcels!! Sick of having to run downstairs with a toddler because someone else has ordered something!! If you know you aren't going to be in why get it delivered ? 😩 really winds me up....

As I always say on threads like this you are not unreasonable to stop but you need to make sure you will never need them to take in a parcel for you. I take in my neighbors parcels and they take in mine but I would obviously stop helping them out if they stopped helping me!
