to expect my friend to tell me if she is not going to bother turning up

last week me and my friend arranged for her to come and pick me up on wednesday. she text me tuesday night to see if we could rearrange for today which i said was fine. text her yesterday to check she was still up for it and she didn't reply. didn't think anything of it cos she often runs out of credit. text her again just cos she was meant to be here at 11 and also rang and no reply. i am mightily pissed off cos ds was very tired (he normally has a nap about now). tried to settle him in his cot but he wouldn't go off and normally i would take him out in his pram but couldn't cos i had to wait in. so now she hasn't even turned up and i have one very overtired child! grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr sorry rant over!

I hope she has a very good reason, because I have had this done to me a few times and it is SO RUDE,

DoubleBluff · 22/06/2007 11:46

Very bad form.

Have you tried ringing her on her landline number?

WinkyWinkola · 22/06/2007 11:51

Maybe something's happened to her, god forbid. I wouldn't get cross with her just yet until she's had a chance to explain herself.

If it turns out she just couldn't be bothered then never make an arrangement with her that could leave you dangling again. Life's too short!

Oblomov · 22/06/2007 11:51

Don't bother with her again - unless she phones and apologises, with a very good reason.

nappyaddict · 22/06/2007 12:14

i don't have a landline number for her. i wouldn't not bother with her again but when we make arrangements in future i shall half expect her not to come!

first time she ever came over i didn't think she was going to show cos 11 came and went. text and rang with no reply. turned out she had no credit and turned up just 15 mins late. i thought that was ok so when the same happened this time i just thought the same thing had happened, she was driving and couldn't answer the phone and would just be a bit late. but alas no.
