Friends son being hurt in nursery

This is more of a WWYD.

I was late dropping my DS in pre-school this morning, so we arrived outside of the normal drop off time. All the boys were play fighting together in the corner of the room and my DS friend who is the youngest of them was on the floor being kicked and stamped on by a boy who is a year older and very big for his age. There were only two teachers in the class who were both busy. I asked if the little boy was ok, at which point the boys stopped fighting. My son friend was crying his eyes out came running to me. I know him and his mum through a few playdates but not that well, so called the teachers over for help. I know boys will be boys and my own DS enjoys all the rough and tumble rest, but this was a step too far. I don't know whether to tell the mum of the boy who was being hurt or whether to speak to the room leader when I pick my son up, or stat out of it. I don't want to be a busybody but don't feel that I can leave this. WWYD

Tell the parent and room leader.

I would probably bring it up with preschool sounds like there aren't enough adults in the room (maybe they need more at the start of a session when people are coming in). A few tussles are normal but if a child was being stamped on and kicked I'd expect an adult to see and rush over straight away.

Thanks, I think I will speak to the room leader on collection and ask how many members of staff should be in the room.

Yes talk to them as that's what you would want the lady to do if she saw your son in that position. Poor little lad.
