Ok, I think I’m going to get told off for this thread. DS’s primary school is bordered by two residential streets and is in a part of London where a lot of the residents of the area don’t drive/ have cars. Lots of parents live a drive away so at pick up/ drop off these streets are packed full of parents and some of the parents are inconsiderate/ block driveways and park illegally but the majority Park considerately on the street. I have NEVER parked illegally or blocked anyone in. I usually do pick up alone with DTs and park one street away (accessed through the main street) and walk over. I usually also arrive early to find parking.

Today I was late to pick up DS (first time) and had a friend in the car, which is very unusual. Right at pick up time the streets become totally impassable, as there are cars parked legally on both sides and only one lane is left for both lanes of traffic. After reversing up and down the street for a while trying to get to the street where I park, I finally just pulled into the side of the street and asked my friend to run in and get DS for me.

Ok, so this is where I’ll get told off. I stopped in front of a dropped curb with a car in the driveway. I didn’t park and sent my friend in so I could move the car immediately if need be.

A grumpy looking man immediately came out of the house and glared at me. I waited to see if he needed to move his car but he glared then walked to the back of my car for a bit, then back into his house.

DS and friend returned and I started driving away and i realised the back tire was punctured. Stopped the car to check and it was completely in tatters. I didn’t hit anything or drive over anything as far as I know. The tyre seemed fine when I parked. Am I being paranoid in thinking the man may have punctured it in retaliation for stopping in front of his driveway?

You would have noticed if he was slashing at your tyres surely?
And it's a dick move to park over a dropped curb.
