Looking for a new Hoover, decide to get a shark but can't decide between the cordless or corded models.

We have a cat and dog to clean after. Mainly laminate floors, carpet on stairs in a 3 bed semi.

Which one should I buy ?

We have the cordless one and love it - no flex to trip over, no unplugging and re-plugging as you move round the house. We have a cat and it's tackling the cat hair brilliantly. Also worth noting that they come with 2 battery packs, so provided you recharge a battery as soon as it's flat, you'll always have a spare ready to carry on.

Do you need two batteries to keep on top of a house? We were looking at the one battery option.

I just bought the two battery cordless. Will not be looking back. It's fab!

By the dyson pets worth every penny especially with pets and definitely cordless.

I have the one battery cordless and it's been fine for me (4 bed house). It lasts about 25 minutes. If you hoover very intensely Grin you might want 2 batteries.

I love it because it's so convenient - at the moment I do a quick hoover of downstairs most days because of leaves and dirt being traipsed in, and it's so easy to get it out of the cupboard, flick a switch and go. All done in a couple of minutes.

I bought the single battery cordless on a Black Friday deal and, at the risk of sounding like a total looser, it is a LIFE CHANGER. It's made keeping on top of the cleaning so easy as I just whip it out for ten minutes every day and whizz round. I love the flexible tube as well as it means having less furniture to move around to vacuum under. And it's got headlights!

I liked the look of both but was worried the battery would quit half way around the house, so went for the corded one.

I have just bought the 2 battery one in the Black Friday deal. It is meant to be ready for our new house but I think I will be getting it out soon as it looks like we have until Feb before we move! My mum got the 1 battery one and loves it so far. We also have a Gtech Airam, present from the in laws 2 years ago, but it has no attachements so good for a quick hoover but not great for a proper clean. Keeping it though as will keep it upstairs for a quick go over up there and then take the Shark up for a proper go round as needed.
