Safety wise I mean. It starts at 7.45am so would mean walking through the city in the early morning...might be dark at that time? Or am I just being paranoid..

at that time of morning there should be a fair few people around if it's a city, use the same safety rules you would use normally i;e no headphones, assertive walking etc.

BrizzleMaverick · 27/11/2018 16:37

That's not an early morning job, a lot of people will be up and about by then I'm sure you will fine.

DeadCertain · 27/11/2018 16:39

Should be plenty of folk about at that time.

PinkHeart5914 · 27/11/2018 16:42

First that is not an early morning job, that is an average start time for many.

Secondly unless you live in the middle of nowhere, I can’t see why it would be unsafe to walk at that time of day. Your in a city so many people will be out heading to work/public transport etc anyway

If you didn't go out in the dark you'd be stuck inside nearly all the time at this time of year. Go for it :)

Unusual0wl3 · 27/11/2018 16:44

I start at 7am when working day shift. There will be plenty of people on their way to work

cc4490 · 27/11/2018 16:52

I leave the house between 7.15 -7.30
It's pretty busy at that time. I think if you stick to well lit streets and main routes you'll be fine and possibly surprised how many people are out and about at this time. It's not a particularly early start.

BuffaloCauliflower · 27/11/2018 16:53

7.45 isn’t an early start. After 6 is totally fine to walk through most city’s, there will be other people on their way to work

Bunnybigears · 27/11/2018 16:55

For a lot of the year it will be light then. Even when it is dark there will be lots of people about at that time.

BiteyShark · 27/11/2018 16:56

That is not an early start. Lots of people will be on the way to work by that time.

I used to walk my dog at 5:30am. Now that is an early start and I still used to see other dog walkers and some people walking to work and I am not even in a city.

spidey66 · 27/11/2018 16:58

I started an early at 7am when I did shifts. Loads do.

Orangeblossom1976 · 27/11/2018 17:03

Thanks! Yes it should be fine, DS leaves around then for the bus as well. Just a bit out of touch i think

In the city most people start getting to work at 6. When I go in for 7/7.30 my tube is way busier than when I go in for 8.30/9am. Yourll be okay
