So doing a second hand sale for charity tomorrow and using the opportunity to get rid of old bit great condition toys and books etc.
This is all for a fab local charity and so I want to raise money but not bring too much home!
I’ve got loads of dvds and books that don’t seem to have been read 🙄.
How much would be reasonable to ask for?
Was thinking £1 dvd and good condition books and 50pnfor others? Got some collections too so was thinking between £3-5 depending on the size of collection.

Give me your thoughts
Thanks!

Sounds perfect. Hope it goes well for you.

Redshoeblueshoe · 24/11/2018 22:22

That sounds fine, and you can always lower the price later in the day.

Yes on the rare occasion my son and I have done a boot sale we have always reduced everything at the end and then finally given things away just so we didn't have to take anything back

Thanks, I don’t want to seem greedy but want to get a good volume for the charity :) (and one or two toys for the dc they are giving up to buy some Xmas presents that I said would be ok)

That sounds realistic and anything left over can go to a charity shop that sells these items.

Pooh you don't sound greedy, you sound lovely. Good luck for tomorrow

Thanks :) it’s a lovely local charity and I see it as a win win for everyone, we clear out some nice items but refundant(due to age) other children benefit and so does the charity. Dh is bewildered by the amount of stuff that’s been in boxes around the house 😳
