AIBU to start a thread just to be told I've done the right thing

Not a TAAT. Just tired of the posts that generate sympathy and being told people have done the right thing when they know they have.

Almost as bad as the FB posts of share if you hate cancer...

If they've already done it, YANBU

If they are considering doing it and unsure of whether it is the right thing to do, YABU

In either case, this clearly is a TAAT

Not a TAA specific T.

When it is so stupidly obvious what the right answer is, the timing makes no difference.
