To wake the toddler after 3 hours?

DS has just turned 2 and has been napping now for 3 hours!

If I wake him he will be a grumpy sod all afternoon. If I leave him to sleep longer he will never go to bed later!

Wake him!

Your well into danger nap territory. Wake him and whisk him out to the park or ducks or something to burn some energy before it gets dark!!

4pm is the latest I let DD nap until so I could still get her down for 7.30ish. Anything after that is the danger zone lol x

Oh wow yes wake him!
That’s a very long nap, is he unwell?

howabout · 23/11/2018 15:46

Wake him but you have my sympathies. I used to keep DD2 napless cause I couldn't stand the tantrum on waking.

Jeffacake · 23/11/2018 15:47

I will give him till 4pm then go and brave waking him. He doesn’t usually go to bed till 7:30 and chats to himself for an hour no matter how he has napped in the day.

No not unwell, he usually has 2-3 hours as his day nap as he only tends to sleep 8pm -5am. He didn’t nap at all one day this week and his night time sleep was dreadful that night so he definitely isn’t ready to cut them out yet.

I'm thinking the same. DD (1) is still asleep and fell asleep just after 12. But she woke up at half 6 this morning and only sleeps for an hour a day at nursery the rest of the week. So I can't decide whether to wake her up.

He has just woken up himself luckily and seems in a decent mood! Not looking forward to bed time though!
