Can each Costa set their own prices?

There's 40p difference between my two local Costa's for the same toastie & coffee order. It pees me off. I thought the prices were all the same so you know what you're getting? It's only 40p but I feel robbed. There's a psychological difference between £6.95 & £7.35. Aibu? Hmm

No idea, franchise?

Skybooks · 22/11/2018 20:03

Is one in a train station/bus station/airport?

Sitranced · 22/11/2018 20:06

Most shops have cost variances for the same item.

One is probably a franchise

Yes I think they do vary price due to market conditions, so things like rent being higher at one venue could make things cost more in that store. They also did franchise some stores... their website says "we are not recruiting any further franchisees" and they also have various corporate partners (such as motorway services).

Now you know one if more expensive than the other you know which store not to visit.
