Sorry could only find a daily fail link. It’s just I heard the owners son on the radio earlier about how they had been misrepresented and how he understood UC would make it difficult.
What I want to know is if you took a paid trial shift and then they didn’t give you the job would you lose your UC for 6 weeks or is it too little to effect it?
I’ve worked somewhere where many of the kitchen staff were desperately looking for jobs with more hours. These jobs aren’t enough to live on. Minimum wage is bad enough at 40 hours a week - but working 15/20 hours is hard esp as the main breadwinner. So many places just don’t offer enough hours to make the jump off benefits - should we surprised no one wants to work there?
