To ask for recommendations for sensible swimwear?

Can someone please direct me who where I can find "normal" swimwear which won't require me to have every part of my body waxed?

All of the ones I can find are "high leg" or thong types!

Ideally if someone knew where I could obtain some nice swim dresses that would be great.

Thank you!

Decathlon - cheap as chips and have both normal cut swimsuits and those with shorts - type legs.

I like speedo legsuits

Agree with Decathlon. You are looking for more sportswear based swimwear. I have a low leg suit from Decathlon, it sits horizontally across the top of my thighs and comes fairly high up on my chest which is good as it keeps it all contained.

I swim three or four times a week in a Slazenger Boyleg swimsuit.

i like the m&S swimming costumes. might need to size up if you are between sizes

CMOTDibbler · 19/11/2018 11:08

I wear the Slazenger boyleg suits too as do loads of ladies at open water swimming (who are all sorts of shapes)

Onceicaughtafish · 19/11/2018 11:20

Yep, look for boy leg swim suits, much better coverage!

NothingOnTellyAgain · 19/11/2018 16:32

Why are they called boyleg by some brands?

Op- other name is legsuits there may be other names as well for when you Google!

beeefcake · 19/11/2018 16:35

Thank you!

I really wish vintage swimsuits would make a resurgence, a lot of them are in that style. And swimdresses

It seems that swimsuits and bikinis are not designed for swimming nowadays. I'd be worried about the scarce fabric falling down.

I got a swimming skirt in Sainsbury's in the summer for £6. It was part of various mix and match bikini/tanikini sets. I didn't like the tops (have a couple of tankini tops from Panache) but the skirt is fab - nice comfy pants with a little skirt on. Not great in a hot tub though, I found out recently, as it floats upwards and makes a frill round the boobs instead.
