Not in Aldi or Lidl?

ChodeofChodeHall · 18/11/2018 17:37

Sainsbury's.

glueandstick · 18/11/2018 17:37

Aldi and Lidl

Hortonlovesahoo · 18/11/2018 17:38

Aldi and Lidl normally have them and last weekend a local Tesco had them in their "seasonal" section

spugzbunny · 18/11/2018 17:38

Waitrose definitely has them

DontBuyANewMumCashmere · 18/11/2018 17:38

DogsAreAce · 18/11/2018 17:45

Just found them in Waitrose website! So excited. Will also be hiding from DH!!

Are they called something else in Tesco/Aldi/Lidl etc? Can't find them!

Lidl have had them in for weeks. Though theirs are a mix of pink/white/glazed/chocolatey and not all restrained and classy like those ones in the picture. They also have various kinds of lebkuchen and those awesome jam-filled chocolate-covered gingerbread hearts...

Balloondog · 18/11/2018 17:47

Look for lebkuchen, they look the same though not sure if that's what you're after

DogsAreAce · 18/11/2018 17:51

I've already got through 2 packets of Lebkuchen 🤪 not as good but still delicious!

They have no pfeffernusse in my local stores. I swear I've tried everywhere. Waitrose is my last option!

When we lived in Germany we never bought Stollen, Lebkuchen etc now they all say they like them!! Can't stand any of them personally, too much cinnamon for one thing, not a fan of almond paste either.

Ah I meant these - I see that they're called Lebkuchen, but to me if they are iced and small, hard and round (rather than large, soft and flat) they are Pfeffernusse. My categories based on a couple of Christmasses in Bavaria rather than any superior knowledge, happy to be put right!

Loyaultemelie · 19/11/2018 12:22

Hmmm what are these delicious looking things I have clearly missed out on for the last 36 Christmases????

justilou1 · 19/11/2018 12:30

If only I could get gluten free ones! (In Australia too!) How Coeliac Killed Christmas is the name of my next novel....

DontBuyANewMumCashmere · 19/11/2018 15:22

Careful Loyaultemelie they're worse than crack.
But better than... anything. Get a few bags and just lock yourself in a cupboard. Cake
