To think chocolate shouldn't be chewy

I rarely eat chocolate but I took a notion for a galaxy ripple at the petrol station earlier. Haven't had one in years. It crumbled like I remembered but the texture in the mouth was grim... almost chewy and claggy. I didn't finish it. Aibu to state that the only chewy chocolate should include caramel or toffee😕

That'll be hydrogenated vegetable fat and/or palm oil. Places like hotel Chocolat or Thornton's only use cocoa butter, melty goodness

I used to love galaxy ripples but find them too waxy now - I go for a flake instead!

theyre gross now. Most of the big companies have replaced cocoa butter with palm oil. Its shit

RIP proper chocolate
