Anyone around who can help me with a grade 7 interview tomorrow

Posting here for traffic. I have an in person interview for a Digital project Manager role at BEIS tomorrow. I have worked in private sector all my life so quite nervous about this one. The initial application was competency based. I have prepared two examples each for the competencies asked in the application stage and have one in mind for any other that may be asked.
I have prepared answers for general opening questions like tell me about yourself and why you want to work here etc so I don't waffle (which i tend to do when I am nervous). I have researched the work the department does and re-read all the information that came with the job advert.
Anything else I should prepare for? Anyone know how these interviews tend to be who can advise me?
I have never been this nervous for an interview before!!!

I'm a G7 in a different govt department so can't promise it's the same, but if it's competency based, that's all you can be marked on. So they might ask some other general questions but they will just be to relax you. I always take in notes and find the best format is each example on a page with the competency criteria underneath it. At G7 level I expect all examples to have an element of seeing the big picture in it, so understanding how what you did fits into wider organisational goals etc. And make sure you're really focused on what you did and how you did it rather than scene setting

G7 here. Your prep sounds fine to me. I was asked about recent announcements and anything currently in the media that impacted on the department’s work.

Prepping for the competency based questions is the bulk of the interview, and it sounds like you’ve done that well. Good luck tomorrow.

I'm a G6, have recruited for G7. Jager is right that big picture/strategic view is very important, taking into account the political (small p) and Political (big P) environment if appropriate and looking at wider organisational goals and culture.

Have you had a practice interview? You need to practise speaking your answers to help you not stutter or get stuck.

Thanks all!

@HavelockVetinari I practised with 7 year old DD who turns out is a harsh critic :D

I will look out for media announcements etc - will they ask the same competencies they say the role is asking for or should I prep for all of them?

Thanks everyone!!

They should just ask you about the ones in your application.

thanks @Lllondon10 ! As I am from private sector, I think my major worry is just that I don't know much about civil service and ways of working.
