Future stepchild and how fiancé handles things

I’m recently engaged and my fiancé is a dad to a little boy (7 1/2yo). We have gone to centre parcs with htb family and the whole time his family is amazing but htb focuses only on the child, he walks off without telling me where he is going, I feel like htb is just ignoring me and I don’t feel like his partner at all. Any advice?

Do you mean walks off to go swimming for an hour, or walks 100m to look at some ducks?
