Lump in my mouth. Need help!

Posting for traffic, sorry. I have a lump on the top of my mouth and it's starting to really bug me. It has been coming and going since March. The last time I went to my dentist it had gone down so he couldn't feel it and didn't say anything else on the matter. Its back now and worse than ever. I have it in my head it's obviously something really bad and I'm going to die! has anyone had anything like this and know what it could be. Please help. I will try and upload a picture.

Make an appointment to see the dentist while lump is still there. Take photos just in case it starts going down then you can show them to dentist. It's probably something quite harmless but lumps are always something that should get checked out. Hope all goes well.

You can get bone knobbles called Tori which are harmless. Worth getting a dentist to have a look at but I had very similar which were identified when I had a wisdom tooth out.

It looks like a mucocele, my dh gets them.

They're harmless afaik, but see your gp if you're concerned and it's not disappearing.

Try the GP when its there. We shouldn't be diagnosing on Mumsnet, but usually these things are harmless so don't get overly worries about it.

By "really bad" I presume you mean a cancerous tumour. If so then relax - cancerous tumours dont come and go.

Please get it checked out, by doctor if no joy with a dentist. Probably nothing but not worth the risk

I have something similar and have had it for years. My doctor says it’s a traumatic lump from biting etc. Nothing wrong. I would go to the doctor and get it checked out. My dentist has never commented on it. And when I have pointed it out he didn’t know.
