To think that parents should be allowed to watch nursery sports?

DD is in nursery and sports were today if weather was fine and a second option of 26/6 if today was wet. As we arrived the rain started so all parents were told that sports was to be in the gym hall and no parents could watch because of a lack of space. I did ask why they were not going for the second option and was told that the weather forecast for next week wasn't good either and that there is so much on that it was not suitable to have it on that day.

Why say there was a second option if it was not going to be used? I know it's awkward but at our school parents are not very involved and this is the only time they normally are.

This sounds like very bad planning. I bet the children were disappointed too.

My dd was. She got a sticker for something but I don't know what for and as she is only 3.5 she hasn't got a clue!
