To feel sad for dd

Dd1 is 8 and hasn't been invited to any of the six parties this term. She's beside herself and I'm so sad for her. I know class parties don't happen much and smaller parties happen instead but she's been excluded from every one Sad

Do you invite friends round for tea? That seems to be the key- lots of friendships at that age are strengthened outside of school.

Oh I do feel for her and you. I’m worried about things like this happening when my eldest starts school. @Ansumpasty has a good idea in inviting kids over for tea. Does your dd mention any specifically that she enjoys playing with? I’m sure it will happen for her - friendships can move so quickly at her age.

Yes we do have play dates and I've done lots of extra bits, trips out with some kids and I did a Xmas party last year too. Other kids all talk about the parties around her and she's devastated.
