Burgled - more a WWYD

Sorry, this is not really an AIBU, but more a WWYD

I've been burgled yesterday and quite a few items got stolen, most of it replaceable, if not straight away, also my spending money for my holiday starting on Friday. But also some jewellery pieces that have, mostly, sentimental value, like a ring I was given by my colleagues for my 20th Birthday or a watch my late grandmother bought me.
Police have been informed and I do have a crime reference number.

Would it be okay to send a list of items to pawn brokers and cash converters in case something turns up there? Unfortunately, I live in London, so it would cover a huge number of shops. Is there a way to simplify that?

I really don't care about the money, or my camera or my laptop that much (insurance will replace laptop). I just feel disgusted and really annoyed that my personal space was violated.

How awful for you, I'd be gutted too at losing the personal items that cannot be replaced.
I'd ask your insurance company if they had any advice re the pawn shops etc -- and do you have photos of the items in question?

My MIL got some jewellery back following a burglary by speaking to pawn shops. Might be worth a try, although that was a while ago and now they probably just send it to cash for gold.

So sorry OP - it’s a horrible, horrible feeling Flowers
